Separated at Birth - Chuck Hagel

And a Friday Separated at Birth for the latest pseudo-Presidential candidate.

Chuck Hagel
and
late Brazilian UN diplomat and “Statesman of the Year”, Sergio Vieira de Mello.

SS...

You might want to change "Pseudo" to "In His Own Mind" as Chuckie is a nowhere man in nearly all the preemptive 2008 polls.

I see more of a "Clintonesque" resemblance.

Is there a pool going on when Hagel will file with the FEC for his presidential exploratory committee?

Not bad at all.

I'd like to see Hagel run for President, but I think I read in the news that he wouldn't decide until after the first of the year.

Before Chuckie-poo takes off on the presidential trail he needs to spend a couple bucks with a good plastic surgeon to lose those valises under his eyes. Guy looks like he hasn't been to bed in a month.

BTW, I agree with One Out In The Third - Chuckie is dead meat walking. You know how a turd swirls around and circles the drain after flushing before it goes down? Out here in the Third we call that a "Hagel"

Good match. They even dress alike. I have never been guilty of encouraging Senator Hagel to run for President. As for the late Sergio de Mello, his Wiki shrine eulogizes him as "mentioned in some circles as a suitable candidate for UN Secretary General." What does that tell you?

UDub...

I'll never look at Hagel the same since your post.

Thanks for the Chuckie chuckle.

Why do you Republicans all hate Hagel so much? He has a conservative voting record. He gets high ratings from conservative interest groups and low ones from liberal groups. Are you just mad at him for being "disloyal" to the President by giving his opinion (which turned out to be right - from the beginning) on Iraq? What else has he done that makes you all so mad?

By the way, is he doing the robot in the picture on his Senate web page? How about this for an SAB:

Just for the record, at the "beginning" Hagel voted FOR the war.

And we'll hold onto that SAB, and credit you at the appropriate time...

Hagel doesn't need Nebraskans to run for President, thank goodness.

Nebraska’s mostly GOP electorate handed Dem Nelson a landslide. That is simply a reflection of the bizarre political bone-marrow of all Nebraskans.

All Nebraskans, partisan and independent, lean more toward George Norris than most care to admit. And more than a few Nebraskans fervently believe our national legislation would be better off it if hopped around on one leg like the Unicameral.

Nebraskans wouldn't know real politics if it jumped up and bit them, as it occasionally does, and might again ala Hagel.
