As long as we're gonna get off topic, I might as well set the agneda to something I'm interested in-

Is anybody following Vyle Kyle on Twitter? I love his reference to the blog as "we." Before the Fremont vote, it was pretty much just him, until Jane came along and ranted about immigration. About as many people read his blog as write for it.

Furthermore, why the bloody hell does he use the 15-year-old Nintendo logo as his own? That's what happens when you use Paint instead of hiring out a graphic designer.

(Kyle posting as anonymous hater in 3,2,1....)

Jamie,

I only use "we" when ... excuse me, Kyle only uses "we" when what I write ... ahem, when what Kyle writes is done together with Jane Kleeb, Lisa Hannah, or one of the other two readers of NNN.

I'm with jamie, off topic, is there a state law that prohibits state employees from being paid by political campaigns?

Darwin's Theory...

Check out the Neg Neb Net post on unions...

A commenter named Darwin (one of the more 'progressive' ones there) calls Vile a "petulant litttle liar."

More facts for the GOP who get their news from FOX and don't get facts. Just right wing rhetoric. 10 biggest "Donor States" (States that send in MORE to Federal government than they get back:

State/ Amount received from Federal government for every dollar sent to Federal govt:

1. New Jersey ($0.55)
2. Connecticut ($0.66)
3. New Hampshire ($0.67)
4. Minnesota ($0.69)
5. Nevada ($0.73)
6. Illinois ($0.73)
7. Massachusetts ($0.77)
8. Colorado ($0.79)
9. California ($0.79)
10. New York ($0.79)

ALL 10 are BLUE states.

10 biggest Recipient states (states that RECEIVE more government aid than they get back):

1) New Mexico ($2.00)
2) Alaska ($1.87) ............Hi, Sarah!
3) West Virginia ($1.83)
4) Mississippi ($1.77)
5) North Dakota ($1.73)
6) Alabama ($1.71)
7) Virginia ($1.66)
8) Hawaii ($1.60)
9) Montana ($1.58)
10) South Dakota ($1.49)

7 out of 10 of these states are RED states.

If you want to end the welfare state in America, we should consider ending RED states

I was in St. Paul for their parade yesterday. I heard that Howard county Democratic party chair Marion Bahensky paid kids to walk in that parade to support democrats. The democrats must be getting desperate to do that.

How much did she pay them? That is rich. I would have taken the dems money to. Pathetic.

A great video and a fabulous tribute to our men and women in uniform. The USO does a wonderful job saying "thanks" to those who defend our nation and protect the values embodied in its Constitution.

Please consider sending the USO -- a private organization -- a small donation to ensure they can continue to host wonderful events for our troops:

Will Lee Terry come out again this fall and reaffirm his support of the privatization of SS and Medicare? He was adamant about it in '02 and '04. This combined with his vote against health care reform leads me to believe Terry is willing to watch our elderly lose everything.

Anonymous said...

3:45--the candidate who supports slashing Medicare by $500,000,000,000 is White, not Terry.

White's position, experts say, will cause MDs to drop out of the program--with wait times for treatment increasing substantially.

1:07. When someone plops a poody down in front of you, don't pick it up and put it in your mouth. Yucky.

Review your data.

Will Tom White reaffirm his position on the unemployment comp bill the House passed last Friday that adds $34 billion to the debt? Oh, wait--that's the one he won't say how he would have voted... more double talk from weasel White.

4:12, why don't you review your observation? Just because these facts don't fit your deluded world view doesn't means they are incorrect.

More Darwin...

Hilarious circular firing squad going on at NNN! Now they're insulting one another over untions and the NDP...lol.

Latest Darwin comment to Kyle:

"I should have realized it was a waste of time to attempt intelligent discourse with you. That part of your brain responsible for such is apparently monopolized by hostility."

Pay 'em overtime!

Just noticed the NDP webmaster came into the office over the weekend and took off Lakers as their nominee in the "meet the candidates" section. Well done!

5:29. I say again, review your data. Hint hint, nudge nudge.

Because if you are right, then Democrats are using thier own tax dollars to fund Republican federal projects. That would mean Democrats are stupid.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous 11:19. No it means that Americans are funding items for other Americans. That is the main difference between Democrats and Republicans in my opinion. Democrats think country first Republicans think themselfs and their pocket books first. We may be red states and blue states. But we need to start thinking American first. Not states rights. If one poor person in a red state is being abused because a rich person in a blue state got a tax cut they do not need then all Americans are getting the shaft.

Anonymous said...

This Country was founded on the principle of States rights. It was the tyranny of England that drove people to risk their lives and everything they had to have freedom. That same bravery was rewarded when men and then families went West to build this great Country. They were rewarded with property rights and freedom to build an economy with that right of property.

BTW, I am not so much concerned with "myselfs", I am more concerned about "yourselfs" and the way you "thinks". It is time that we quit treating success like a character flaw and rewarding people that want to line jump.

Help out, not hand out.

So, Justin Wayne thinks the learning community ED is a public official? Did I miss when that position was put on the ballot? "She deserves more..." from Werkheiser, I suppose he thinks he deserves more since that Learning Community has done such a bang up job of spending taxpayer dollars and not teaching a single kid how to excel in anything.

And, yet again, I am left agreeing with Ernie Chambers...

Macdaddy said...

Isn't today July 6th? Only 4 months left for Tom White to convince voters to replace Lee Terry. I wonder what his strategy is? Does he have any new ads? Any position statements? Any...thing?

Anonymous said...

If the Learning Community is supposed to get $22M in state aid this year, maybe the LC will be cut and we can throw that money back into the pot.

The LC is not doing anything but spending money. It's just another layer of Public School and PUBLIC MONEY!!!

States rights was put in its grave on April 9, 1865 at a place called Appomattox Court House. Before that it was given a mortal wound when the idea of implied powers in the constitution gave President Jefferson the right to buy the Louisiana Purchase. Nothing in the constitution said he had the right to do that. But he did it because it was the right thing to do. And with a stretching of the constitution by both the GOP under Lincoln and then by the Democrats under FDR we have been a Nation not a collection of states with certain rights. The Civil War victory for the North solved that problem forever. Even so Neo conservatives harp on states rights like Jefferson Davis did in the 1860"s.

Sweeper, thanks for the great video honoring our military. I saw it after the Fourth but am sharing on my Facebook and am betting a lot of friends will share it.

Anonymous said...

Here's an idea. How about the Feds only take tax dollars for the funding of our Military and our National Security (ie our borders). They can continue to levy fuel consumption charges (aka gas taxes) for the sole purpose of building and maintaining FEDERAL interstates and bridges. Let the states deal with medicare and medicaid and let people plan for their own retirements. Whatever states come up with the best plans, will likely have the most population. More population = lower costs for all.

Macdaddy said...

So, Bud, you don't think liberals like states' rights? What do you think is happening in California with medical marijuana? How about in Oregon with physician-assisted suicide? Pretty sure that those aren't conservative-led issues and those states are thumbing their noses at the Feds under the rubric of...states' rights.

Bud said...

Macaddy I don't agree with either of those items that you mentioned, that are taking place in California or Oregon. Again Federal law trumps State law. I am not liberal in everything. But I am very rarley ever conservative in anything.

Hmmmm....

Wall St Journal page 1 article today on the Deepwater Horizon disaster.

"In his presidential campaign, President Obama criticized the Bush administration for being too soft on the oil industry and vowed to support greener energy forms.

"But, once in office, President Obama ended up backing offshore drilling, bowing to political and fiscal realities, even as his administration's own scientists and Democratic lawmakers warned about its risks."

(The story details how the U.S. Court of Appeals ruled in the spring of 09 that offshore drilling needed to be more controlled. The Obama Admin. then asked the Court to 'revisit' their ruling so everything in the pipeline could move forward.)

hmmm....

Anonymous said...

BTW....

Day 76 of the DH disaster. Up to 100,000 barrels of stinky, goopy oil could leak out today. Tarballs now are washing up in all states along the Gulf coast.

Wonder what would have happened had the Obama Admin not asked the Court of Appeals to slow down deepwater drilling...or if they had in place an effective response plan for disasters like this.

Management by chaos is not a plan.

Dems=Incompetence

It is to laugh to keep trying to blame Obama for the BP oil disaster.

I love how you Repubs practicaly wail that Obama should take a deep breath and dive to the bottom of the ocean and personally cap the well with the sheer power of Hope and Change.

It ain't working.

Ticked with the Putz said...

Obama is a Putz, and a liar. He is also a darn good speaker, like a pied piper.....

Oh wait a minute why would anyone want to disparage a putz. I suppose the difference is a putz is they way they are unintentionally. The POTUS is doing exactly what he said he would do, destroy the American way.

He is fine with the US being second or third in the world. He thinks JFK was wrong, because the US CAN'T go it alone on the space program. Of course it is a bit more difficult financialy when you spend a TRILLION on hand outs, and when you tell your NASA chief his PRIMARY focus is to placte the muslim world, duh.

He spent all this money on stimulus, actually he obligated it, and now wants to raise the funds for it by tax increases.

November will see the end of this absurdity. Then we will get a heavy dose of the Rev. J Wright. Oh the joy.

So Tom White's camp and Jane Kleeb think it is okay to harrass a Congressman's wife and kids by following them around with a tape recorder? (Article on Nebraska Watchdog). It's one thing to follow the candidate, but to (according to the harrassers) ask the candidates wife a "few questions" is out of line. Children and spouses should be off limits. period. As a republican, I was ashamed when Chelsea Clinton was picked on..same should go here.

And for those who say Robyn is in the spotlight because of the schoolbook controversy...BALONEY. Being a Congressman's wife does not make you any less of a parent who has the right to question what your child is taught.

Let's get down to the real nitty gritty about issues instead of stalking and harrassing. I'm sure Jane Kleeb wouldn't want her daughters harrassed.

Ian and Jane's lie...

Follow me on this.

Ian R. says the White campaign doesn't have any "paid" trackers. But ask him who some young thang named "Hannah" is--she is one of the principle trackers on Terry and is the one who harassed Terry's wife in Lincoln. Hannah is always working for White--she is at parades stickering w/them, taping and is listed on White f/r solicitations as the contact.

Ian doesn't "pay" her out of the campaign, but he knows very well what she is doing. Jane, meanwhile, said that Bold Nebr. hasn't tracked the Terry kids. Bull. Hannah and the two other trackers have gotten right into Terry's face at events and capture audio/vidoe of his boys since they are standing right next to him. It has been very noticable to Terry's boys--and Jane, Ian and Little Hannah should stop it. Now.

Anonymous said...

7:30--you haven't see any polls recently I gather.

Day 77 of the disaster--which could have been avoided had Obama not asked the Court of Appeals to reverse their ruling to slow down drilling.

Another 100,000 barrels of Obama Oil could leak today in the Gulf. Tarballs everywhere.

Anonymous said...

If Hannah isn't being paid anything to work for Tom White's campaign, then does that mean she works for his Official Office in the Legislature too?

Why are the taxpayers of ALL of Nebraska footing the bill for Tom White's Congressional Race?

Are Ian and Hannah currently unemployed and getting Unemployment Checks? Do they live off a trust fund like so many other Democrat political types? If they are employed, do their employers know how much work time they spend following Congressman Terry to meetings, townhalls and parades? Who lets their employee take a 4 hour lunch to videotape an anti healthcare tax rally in Lincoln at the Capitol?

Anonymous said...

Hilarious....

White's campaign, NDP and Kleebomania (Bold NE) have 3, count 'em, 3 paid trackers who stalk Terry and his family members.

Yet they have no candidate for Gov. or AG or Auditor.

Real wise use of resources...
