Kleeb: Rope-a-dope

Scott Kleeb has a new ad up, called "Ropes". Take a look:

We're not exactly sure what this is an ad for.
Possibly a rodeo academy?
Belt buckles?
Wranglers?

All we know is that the whole time we were watching the kid to see if she could lasso the fake steer.

The guy in front of her might have said something, but we're really not sure.  Something about ropes, we think.

"Sometimes the newest questions have the oldest answers." Is this an ad for a church? Pastor Kleeb trying to build the flock? Street Sweeper used a couple of extra words for this posting...it should be "Kleeb: Dope". This guy has to be a major embarassment to regular NE Dems...almost as bad as Esch is for them in the 2nd district. At least Kleeb has had a job or two.

This ad should do wonders for his GOTV effort in Omaha.

I was waiting for Billy Crystal, Daniel Stern, and the late Bruno Kirby to join him at the end.

There Scott goes again, trying dupe us with his cowboy costume. No amount of plaid and demin is going to mask his Elite, East Coast, Euro-trash Liberalism. The only person this ad will proke a reaction with is Lisa Hannah. Look out Scott!

As opposed to pressed Dockers pulled halfway up his belly, fitted pastel dress shirt, sweater draped over the shoulders with arms neatly crossed, and the final touch, LL Bean deck shoes? Give me the plaid and jeans any day. Iron Mike dresses for the yuppie Country Club crowd. But I guess he is a member.

Johanns dresses pretty much the same where ever he goes.

It's Kleeb who has different outfit depending on who he's talking to...

Wait a minute, did I hear him say "Faith..and..Family"? Is this Scott's first attempt at attracting traditional values voters?

Ha ha, anon 4:24, you have Mike Johanns' dress style to a tee!

Wow, radical concepts like changing your clothes. Even that seems so Un-Republican around here.

Me thinks Mike preaches to the choir in a lawyerly suit, frat clothes, designer ag jeans and parade togs. Least ways, I've seen them all.

"Hmm. I'm meeting with my Cowboy People. I'll just paint on my Wranglers and cowboy shirt. Wouldn't want to scare them with my camelhair jacket. Then later I'm meeting with my Chardonnay libs in Dundee, so I'll sport my camel-hair sportcoat. Wouldn't want to shock them with my cowboy shirt!"

What's funny is all these repuglicans are always so obsessed with how Kleeb dresses, and especially when he dresses in what most rural Nebraskans dress in. I'd actually encourage them all to give a call to the Morgan Ranch up in Burwell and tell them about Scott's clothes, see what they say. Then call the McGinn Ranch and see what they say. Finally, ask those at Yale about this guy walking around their campus as much as 10 years ago clearly not fitting in in his jean and cowboy boots. But they will never check this out because they're obsessed with his looks. And that's just so immportant to obsess over!

Hey SS, maybe you should ask Mike Johanns why he felt he had to dress in designer jeans(yep, checked the label and they're at least $50 - no self respecting farmer or rancher would be caught dead in tailored designer jeans!), and fake weathered designer cowboy boots (yep, they hadn't even been broken in properly), when going to some of the more rural county fairs. After all, this is such an important issue so you should question the Republican as much as you do the Democrat. Because as we all know, politicians should only wear one type of clothing and never be different, right? How stupid is this argument of yours!!

Uh, so just how close did you get to check out Johanns's jeans?

And I think that's the point, btw. He's not picking out his jeans based on the Congressional district.

Ewwww, Mike Johanns in jeans!

Correction 5:01 Denim trousers!!

Dungarees.

Let's not forget Mike Johanns' sweet USA leather jacket. I knew he was cool right away.

Julie --- this year was not the first attempt Kleeb tried to attract traditional values voters.

If you recall ----- about two years ago when Kleeb saw the positive impact of the RIGHT TO LIFE postcards for his opponent, Kleeb miraculously became pro-life. Well at least according to the Ben Nelson recording I had on my answering machine. Uncle Ben touted what a wonderful PRO LIFE strong Catholic guy Scott had morphed into.

Naturally, we all respect BEN NELSON since he is a consummate lying sack of .... of ..... of (I have a loss of words:):):):) He seems to also get mixed up a bit on use of property for avoiding taxes:):):):)

Kleeb is a little much for me, but you guys should check out the latest post on NNN. Cook Report downgrades Terry from Likely Republican to Lean Republican.

We need another person in Congress that knows how to use ropes.

Kleeb is on the ropes. BTW, did those kids have to leave their houses as they were being evicted, dodge armed soldiers in the street as they walked since they couldn't afford $8 gas just so they could go rope a fake cow? Don't those kids know how miserable life is?!?!?! Maybe Kleeb could show them his previous ad.

And another BTW: I absolutely detest it when a candidate says "And I approve this message because..." Who gives a crap? You approved this message because McCain-Feingold said you had to or you couldn't run it. "I approved this message because we spent $25 large to shoot this pig and my daddy taught me never to waste money!"

Anon @ 9:37 - I'm not worried about Lee winning. The only reason they are rating this race competetive is because Obama seems to be paying a little attention to the 2nd, and because the DCCC has responded in kind by throwing a little money Jim's way. Look for Lee to define Jim for what he is: a liberal unemployed, party-boy who is 32 and still lives off Mommy and Daddy and has a criminal record to boot. When all is said and done Jim will be lucky to lose by the same margin as last time.

The Democrats are really hurting with our countries terrible economic down. Look how much they kick in to the Obama coffers. Record amounts are coming in. Many have a vested interest in the election. If Democrats win, these thieves will never be prosecuted.

Where is the outrage by Obama for his friends and advisors costing US taxpayers up to a trillion dollars as they lead Ginnie and Freddie into disaster, cooked the books and pocketed $90 million into their own piggy bank.

I just watched the video again. Did I miss it or does Kleeb even ask for a viewer's vote?
