Thank you for posting something like this SS. Out of respect for the families and the situation, let's please keep these comments away from gun control issues. That should be the least of our concerns right now.
It is so sad that so many families will have pain and loss during this this season that should have been filled with joy and togetherness. Our condolences to them all.
The Omaha police chief said the weapon used was an "AK 47" and then he said it was an "SKS".
That's odd. For one is a fully automatic "assault rifle" (machine gun). The other is a semi-automatic that functions like any other hunting rifle.
This tragedy is bad enough. But the weapon used is rather important info to police and courts. Its odd the chief is confused about this matter. It makes a difference and it is rather impossible to believe a police chief would so confuse weapons.
Please don't comment on anything about this until the dead are buried and the families have grieved. The killer is not on the loose and in time the public will have a full picture of this tragedy. I personally know one of the victims. Let the radio talk show trash and the "if it bleeds it leads" TV stations continue put out the sensationalism. They are truly pathetic.

:-(
Very sad, especially around Christmas.

Amen Mike. I had lunch with one of the victims yesterday before he went to buy some Christmas gifts for his family at the mall.
If we can learn from such as this, we best serve the fallen.
